We are Bryan and Kim Atwood, and we founded The Atwood Insurance Agency with the goal of serving the people of our community and their insurance needs through education, advocacy and exceptional service.
Through our partnership with American Legacy Partners, we offer our clients over 20 years of life and health insurance brokerage experience, as well as access to over 30 of the nation’s top-rated insurance carriers.

Bryan graduated from Clemson University in 2002 with a degree in architecture, and went on to pursue a graduate degree at Virginia Tech University. Bryan has been a successful business owner, serving clients all over the state, for almost 20 years.
Kim graduated from College of Charleston in 2001 with degrees in Business and Corporate Communication. She pursued her Masters degree at the University of Georgia, and began teaching at the collegiate level upon graduation. For over 20 years, she has been an instructor in higher-education, as well as offering her skills and knowledge to professionals through speaking and consulting gigs.
Bryan and Kim met in church – they were seated next to each other at a leadership meeting for a new ministry and the rest is history. They were married the next year and currently live in Chapin, SC with their three beautiful kids and two, mostly adorable, dogs.
They began their insurance journey in 2023 and in doing so, fulfilled a long-time dream of being able to work together. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their family.
